The Goddess Ariadne is our goddess energy for the week. She is the Minoan snake goddess who helped with Theseus navigate the maze and slay the minotaur. If you are going through some trial this week, know that she will help you find the way through and back out of dark times or any unnerving or challenging transformation. Don’t hesitate to call on Ariadne and be receptive to her advice.
Faerie Guide Luathas the Wild is our fae energy for the week and very fae he is. I suspect he is the reason we need Ariadne as our goddess this week, We may be feeling surges of impulsive energy ourselves or we may be dealing with the impulsive energy of others. Luathas urges us to seize opportunities that at other times convention or routine would rule out. His energy can be great for creativity and initiating projects. However, he is not so good for making financial decisions or when making decisions while driving your car. Care is definitely called for in terms of how we use his calls to action and urges to spring on something. Happily, he is moderated both by our goddess of the week and by our animal totem, deer, below.
Animal Totem Deer walks gently into our lives this week. Deer is a direct counterbalance to Luathas. Study the meadow before you step in. Look before you leap. Use your antennae, your wonderful deer senses, to decide the best path to take, the best morsels to eat and who to approach. Trust the instincts of deer if Luathas leads you into unfamiliar territory. Given the time of year of this reading, Deer could also indicate that you are giving birth to a creative project that needs some nurturing and protection. Don't bring it out in the open quite yet but do focus your attention on it.
